CertAlarm celebrates World Standards Day

Today is the World Standards Day. This year’s theme is protecting the planet with standards. Standards cover all aspects of energy savings, water and air quality. They lay down standardized protocols and methods of measurement. Their broad use helps reduce the environmental impact of industrial production and processes, facilitates the reuse of limited resources and improves energy efficiency. We at CertAlarm like to contribute to the protection of the earth by offering certification schemes that guarantee compliance to European product, system, installation and service standards.

New Chair of Technical Advisory Group

CertAlarm, an organization offering a pan-European quality mark in the fire protection and security systems industry, has appointed Dr. Benoît Stockbroeckx  as new Chair of its Technical Advisory Group (TAG). The TAG is CertAlarm’s organ to provide technical guidance on issues such as the interpretation of the respective standards or on the monitoring of the competence and integrity of the participating certification bodies and test laboratories.

Euralarm round table debate on EN 50131-1 revision

The European requirements related to the Intruder and Hold-up Systems (I&HAS) are covered by the EN 50131 series. The  system  requirements  in part one  are the foundation for all other standards in this range which cover the different  parts of an I&HAS system.

Kiwa organises festive opening event for their new fire lab in The Netherlands
