The size of batteries required will depend on several factors:-\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>How much current the system takes in the normal condition<\/li>\r\n \t<li>How much current the system takes in the alarm condition<\/li>\r\n \t<li>How long the system is required to run in the event of a mains failure.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nThe general requirement for battery backup is that the system is to be able to run for 24 hours, then run in alarm for 30 minutes with an 80% charge in the batteries.
