CertAlarm, an organization offering a pan-European quality mark in the fire protection and security systems industry, is now recognized as an accepted partner according to the requirements set up by VSÖ, the Association of Austrian Security Enterprises (https://vsoe.at/files/vsoe-anerkannte_pruef-_und_zertifizierungsstellen_...). VSÖ approved products guarantee compliance with all applicable EN standards and national directives in Austria. 

11-Jan-2017 CertAlarm scope now also includes ISO and IEC standards

The CertAlarm certification scope now offers extensions to the most recent standards based on ISO 7240 Series for Fire & Life Safety Alarm Systems Products and based on IEC TC79 standards for Alarm Electronic Security Systems with cross references to CENELEC TC79 portfolio of standards.

13-Dec-2016 Round-robin tests on passive infrared detector completed

CertAlarm today confirmed the completion of their round-robin test series on passive infrared detectors. Round-robin tests are comparative tests performed by the participating laboratories at regular intervals and using the same test sample. As such they enable CertAlarm’s recognized test laboratories (RTLs) to see if the results of their testing are comparable to those achieved in the other laboratories. They are an important instrument of external quality control for laboratories and are used to determine and verify the accuracy of their measuring methods.

01-Nov-2016 CertAlarm formally answers EU Impact Assessment on Harmonised Certification for Alarm Systems

CertAlarm has now delivered its answer to the "European Commission's Inception Impact Assessment on the Proposal for an EU Initiative Establishing a Harmonised Certification Scheme for Alarm System Components".

CertAlarm is now hoping for a workable harmonised solution to simplify certification across Europe for security components.
